Essential Oil Picks of the Week
[su_dropcap]I[/su_dropcap] I don’t think there is one person on this planet who doesn’t like the smells of essential oils. Am I right or am I right? I think everyone knows it’s out there, but either don’t quite fully understand the benefits or just simply is unaware of how to use them. Today, I shed a little bit of light! Also, a $20 starter kit? yes, seriously.
As most of you probably already know, Piping Rock Health Products is an affiliate of mine that I’m proud of! I stand behind their products and own many of other the products as well. Primarily the essential oils; Piping Rock doesn’t go through any other manufacturers or middle men to get their oils so this enables their costs to be incredibly low with a high-quality therapeutic grade oil. Two thumbs up!!
This week they added 7 new oil blends! Read more below to learn the aromas of each new blend:
- Good Night Oil: A blend of Lavender, Tangerine, Bergamot, Geranium, Cypress, Frankincense, Blue Chamomile, and Valerian oils.
- Detox Oil: Light, fresh, and minty: A blend of Spearmint, Myrtle, Myrrh, Geranium, Nutmeg, Sage, and Blue Chamomile Oils.
- Weight Management Oil: Sweet Citrus & Pine: A blend of Grapefruit, Tangerine, Lemon, Spearmint, and Thuja oils.
- Attention Oil: Fresh & Herbaceous: A blend of Frankincense, Cedarwood, Vetiver, and Lavender Oils in fractionated coconut oil.
- Protective Oil: Warm, spicy, sweet: A blend of Sweet Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Leaf, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary Oils.
- Joy Oil: Fresh Citrus & soft powder: A blend of Bergamot, Ylang Ylang I, II, III, Lemon, Tangerine, Geranium, Palmarosa, Coriander Seed, Jasmine, and Blue Chamomile Oils.
- Happy Oil: Sweet & Fruity: A blend of Cedarwood, Lemon, Spearmint, Grapefruit, Tangerine, Myrtle, Nutmeg, and Jasmine Absolute Oils.
BOOM! I’m so excited to get these ordered. I do want to note that the blends are slightly more expensive because they have multiple essential oils in one! Regular essential oils on Piping Rock average about $3 where as the blends will run you average of $8. What a steal!

How to use the above essential oils
Oh, the list is long! But I’ll share a few of the most popular and some of my favorites. So aside from my herbal medicine that I make for my home, health, mind and body + my students who are a part of my Aromatherapy program. I use all piping rock health products including the herbs. Ever since I made the switch from candles to diffusing, I will never go back! Not only are candles dangerous and can cause burns or fires, they generally aren’t made with safe ingredients which essentially releases chemicals and toxins into the air that you are breathing. Not okay.
When you diffuse essential oils …
You are basically breaking down the essential oils and releasing the molecules into the air you breathe which then goes into our lungs. Depending on what type of diffuse you choose (click here for diffusers starting @ 15.99), it sprays a mist into the air with the water that you dump into it. Those essential oil properties then go into your body and provide therapeutic remedies even if nothing is “wrong with you” per se and you’re left with a whole house smelling like a spa!
When you inhale Essential oils …
When we inhale essential oils, they go straight to our brain and are sent directly to other parts of the body which like i said above, provides therapeutic remedies. this method is one of my favorite because it’s instant. Pouring drops onto your hands or cotton balls and putting them under your nose can help tremendously with the mood.
When you use Essential oils for massage …
Remember in my Wellness Wednesday post this week I talked about what you put onto your skin and scalp goes directly into your blood and pores? This is exactly what I was referring to! Lotions, sunscreens, perfume, etc all seep into your blood stream when applied onto the skin. The oils help absorb even faster since it doesn’t “sit” on top of the skin, but rather absorbs more quickly. Add 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil or blend into a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil, or Fractionated Coconut Oil, JoJoba Oil (best for all skin types), or Sesame Oil – shake and rub away! I make oil blends that aren’t necessarily for massage so I can use them on a daily basis and look oiled up 🙂
When you bathe with Essential Oils…
Put a few drops of a calming and soothing essential oil or a relaxing oil like Lavender in your bath while its running and give yourself a hot & steamy, quality bath time with yourself. Throw some Epsom Salts in there while you’re at it to even further relax your muscles, sprains, or bruises!
Those are my favorite uses for them, outside of making my herbal medicine and skincare of course!
The essential oil starter kit …
No, this is not going to cost you $150 or more. This will actually only cost you $19.99 – $49.99 depending on which kit you choose. Isn’t that a deal or what! Kits can be so expensive, but not this one with Piping Rock. The kits are a perfect way to get the most used oils into your home as a kick start to your essential oil health.
