I don’t know about you, but my hair is probably the most important thing of my exterior body aside from my face. I find great pride in my hair and I’ve been lucky enough to have a sister for a Cosmetologist since 2002 and a Salon owner for a handful! I was always a guinea pig, and this led me to my most found joy of where I express my creativity, on my body. I’ve had every color and style you can think of, and my hair is still luscious and bountiful! But how? It’s all about the products you use and the treatment you provide, and that’s what I’m talking about today, with Citrine Natural Beauty Bar!

Citrine Natural Beauty Bar is a luxury green beauty boutique in Phoenix, Arizona offering items from lines such as Tata Harper, Jane Iredale, May Lindstrom, Kypris, RMS, Kjaer Weis, and many more. We strive to maintain a glamorous image while promoting a healthy lifestyle. All of the products that they offer are non-toxic, natural, or organic. And as a bonus, the website includes video tutorials, makeup tutorials, blogs, and specialized information!

Similarly, most of you probably know that what we put on our bodies is absorbed into our skin and goes straight to our bloodstream. We this is the same for the Scalp. So what happens when you buy cheap and/or toxic products? It can cause  hair loss and severe allergies; along with acne, dry scalp, hormone imbalances, and thinning of the hair.

Wellness Wednesday: Hair Care with Citrine Natural Beauty Bar

Here’s a list of a few toxic ingredients & preservatives hiding in our hair care:

  • Sulfates
  • Methylchloroisothiazolinone
  • Formaldehyde Releasing Agents
  • Fragrances
  • Mineral Oils
  • Parabens

What ARE these creatures?

LEARN MORE about the above listed, please head on over to the Toss it Tuesday blog published yesterday from Citrine! Click Here.

Please, stay away from the above toxic chemicals whenever possible. There is far too many ingredients in our bodycare these days and we can choose to leave them out for as long as we are willing to. We are blessed with hundreds of natural alternatives that won’t cause health issues. Check out the Rahua line at Citrine!

Great post! I’ve been chemical free for a year now (in skincare and hair) and it has made a huge difference. I don’t break out anymore and my hair grew like a weed!

I love this post. It’s so sick that they put that many harmful and damaging ingredients in products and they actually are given the OK to sell to the public. I also check labels and stay away from those chemicals.

  • Tiffany Austin

I never realized how much scary stuff is contained in our beauty products until i got pregnant and decided to start paying attention! Thanks for this. Looks great!

I’ve been good about laying off the parabens and mineral oils, however I’m still struggling to find a conditioner with more natural ingredients that makes my hair feel moisturized. I will have to give the Rahua product line a try!

  • That shampoo looks fantastic!

  • Veronica Pototska
